We are a group of local residents from varied backgrounds who have been playing music for decades. We recently got together and have been collaborating on many songs and genres. We do covers of old jazz standards as well as more recent musics. We enjoy playing and performing and are looking forward to meeting other like minded locals and musicians.

Emmalee Herrington

A singer and songwriter since her early youth, 23 year old Emalee Herrington is a familiar face in the local music scene. She loves to perform her original music and country music covers. Not only is music an enjoyment for her, but she uses it to enrich the lives of area youth through her non profit organization, Emalee’s Musical Medicine and through teaching in the Oswego area. Emalee has released an EP & a single that are available everywhere and she plans to release more music in the future!

Jae Dani

Jae Dani is a musician and singer songwriter who grew up in Gouverneur, NY. Her powerful voice and moving lyrics are the hallmarks of her unique style. Jae graduated high school from Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied songwriting and now attends SUNY Purchase College, studying studio composition. In the summers & winters, she lives in Saranac Lake and gigs in the Adirondacks. You can stream her single "Again" and her EP "Eleventh" on all platforms! DJ Tall @$$ Matt

Matthew Wagner aka Tall Ass Matt has been a resident and DJ in the capital region for the past 15 years. Based out of the Pine Hills neighborhood, Tall Ass Matt has brought a sense of freedom and universality back to dance floors from NYC to the Adirondacks. Operating primarily off his extensive vinyl collection and drawing inspiration from history’s most important DJs; it is his hope that with every set he is able to tell a story and create an intimate bond with everyone on the dance floor.

SloJam

As organized through TrestleStreet in Saranac Lake, SloJam is a community-based jam session that meets weekly, on Tuesday evenings, to play a variety of song- and rhythm-based music. Begun in 2013, the group, and its goals, has gone through a variety of iterations, depending on current members' interests and abilities. We continue to support making music in the community in the variety of music we play, ranging from traditional folk to the occasional Irish punk and in the tempo and technical difficulty of the songs we choose. Over it's many years, SloJam has offered beginner and intermediate musicians and singers in Saranac Lake and our surrounding communities the opportunity to improve their musicianship and to experience the joy of making music with others by providing a no-fault, supportive environment in which all instruments and abilities are welcomed.

Eddy Lawrence

Eddy Lawrence is an Alabama-born folk singer whose wry, insightful songs reflect his Southern upbringing, Native American culture, and rural home in northern New York. After coming up through the Greenwich Village folk scene in the '80s, he settled upstate and became a staple of the regional singer/songwriter circuit, playing clubs, coffeehouses, and festivals while releasing albums like 1996's Locals and 2001's Going to Water on his own Snowplow label. Over the years, his music has been featured on compilations like the Smithsonian Folkways-owned Fast Folk series and NPR's Car Talk Car Tunes. Lawrence continued to perform throughout the 2010s, though it wasn't until 2019 that he returned to the studio. A mix of new originals and a handful of traditional tunes, Eddy & the Abstract Truth was a scaled-down, entirely solo affair with Lawrence accompanying himself on guitar and mandolin.

The Yod Squad

Tim Nekritz

Tim Nekritz is a folk/Americana/blues/rock/more singer-songwriter active in two bands (The Condescenders, Whiskey Spirits) who also hosts a monthly Songwriters Circle and regular Variety Show. His first record is due out in summer 2026.

Mad Dog Blues

Exposed to multi-cultural influences early on. Hearing Latin church music, black, pentacostal, gospel and jazz. In 1966 as a new harmonica player influenced by Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. John took a deep dive into the Blues world; starting with Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters. The slide guitar came in the 80's along with the nickname MAD DOG.

Joe Waters (the Joe Show)

This porchfest, strum into your happy place with the Joe Show! Joe Waters, owner of ADK Party Music and lead guitar and vocals of Cloudspun will be playing feel-good originals along with a mix of much-loved covers and hidden gems that’ll have the neighbors leaning over the fence for more. Pure summer vibes in the ADK!

Ms. Rebecca & Friends

Ms. Rebecca and Friends is a local folk band that creates fun, interactive sing-alongs for young children. Kids are encouraged to sing, dance, move, and play instruments during performances featuring familiar songs they know and love. While designed especially for children, the upbeat music and engaging atmosphere make the experience enjoyable for adults too.

DJ Spawn

DJ Spawn moved up to the Adirondacks in the end of 2000, started DJing at mud, puddles and for sites and sounds entertainment. Throughout the 21 years that he DJ’ed here in the Adirondacks, he has done proms, weddings, all sorts of functions. Now that DJ Spawn has retired from DJing, he still loves music and will be playing all genres of music to make everyone happy. DJ Spawn has made an amazing playlist and it consists of music from the 30s until now.

Baker’s Radio

Baker’s Radio is the solo moniker of Saranac Lake crossover artist Glenn R. A. Burnett. Delivering raw, "original recipe" indie-folk and alt-rock soundscapes, his music serves up soulful vocals mixed with sharp, humorous lyricism. Living by the slogan “My other yacht is a guitar,” Glenn serves up melodic hooks alongside a healthy dose of community vibe. Grace Elizabeth is a singer/songwriter, piano though, not guitar. Her music is a bit outside of any particular genre and is best classified as pop, seasoned heavily with jazz, blues, and gospel, with lyrics spawning from the Gen Z, traveler experience.
